Who We Are

Andean Aid was created to serve the people of the Andean region of Venezuela. It is a registered 501.c.3 organization operating for religious and charitable purposes. The history of Andean Aid begins in July of 2000 when the founders, Wayne and Susan Cramer ventured to Rubio, Venezuela as missionaries assigned to teach at Christiansen Academy, a missionary kids school in the city of Rubio near the Colombian border.

While in Rubio, Wayne volunteered for a children's program at a Venezuelan church that was led by indigenous Venezuelans and Colombians. The pastor explained to Wayne that his people needed others willing to serve in ministries. Cramer then decided to establish a ministry of service, care and compassion, built on deep relationships with the national people and ministries.

Our Mission

To empower the afflicted to flourish - physically, spiritually, socially and economically.

Our purpose is to provide developmental resources to the poor, disabled and those afflicted by circumstance. This latter category applies to the 180,000 Colombians who have taken refuge in Venezuela from the violence in their own country. Half of the indigenous Venezuelan population lives in poverty. The strategy to fulfilling this mission is our flagship ministry the Help and Hope Center.

Vision, Values and Principles

Our vision is to eradicate poverty one life, one family at a time.

The overriding principle is that rich or poor we are all lost without Christ. The afflicted can only find fulfilment and flourish by knowing the Lord.

For these people to believe that God loves them we must first love them.

God has made it abundantly clear in His Word that we are to treat the poor with dignity and assist them. In fact it's the only way we can lend to the Lord. Imagine that - us lending to the Lord!

Our Statement of Faith

The death of Jesus on the cross is the only vehicle for the redemption of humanity.

People become fully alive and reconciled to God in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Bible is the source of truth for faith and living.

There is only one Church and it meets in many locations and worships in a variety of ways.

As the body of Christ, the Church is compelled to respond to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of our community.
